Who's got Stories??

OK, Since the Damm Family has been invited... and is starting to peek in for a visit, I would LOVE to hear stories.

I have heard about farming with camels (one hump or two??) but am vauge with the details.

That there is a place in Montana (where?!) and that EVERYONE knows your name (and the State troopers can even give you directions to the family reunion.)

Grandma Dorthy's pickles (anyone with the recipe?)

Ron and Alvin and a carpet roll (?)

We have a fantastic family... and tons of stories and memories to share. What's YOUR favorite? Inside family jokes, nicknames, acomplishments, photos...

I remember Christmas UnderRoos at Uncle Rons, Grandpa John LAUGHING about ramming into the back of mom's car trying to get up our muddy drive way- and singing "Hagelina-Bagelina Hoopa stein-a-walla" with my cousins on stage at a Damm Family Reunion.

Good stuff- and I know I don't remember much, and I am sure you all have some good ones to share too!!

Hello Family!

My name is Laurie Sherwood. I am the granddaughter of John and Dorothy Damm; the daughter of Bob and Carol (Damm) Sherwood. My sister, Amy, started this blog. I also have a brother, Bob Sherwood, Jr. My sister has 7 kids and my brother as one child.

I have been living in Richland, Washington for about 9 1/2 years and I am the legal secretary for the senior partner of a 9 attorney firm in Kennewick, Washington.

About 5 years ago, I had a major stroke. I had to learn how to read, talk, walk, type, feed myself all over again. The reason I had the stroke (at 26 years old) was because I had a whole between the chambers of my heart, so I had open heart surgery 6 weeks after my stroke. During this time, my family was my strength. I can't even think about where I would be right now if my family had not been there for me, rallied behind me, challenged me to recover, talked for me when I couldn't, stood up for me when I couldn't, laugh with me and cry with me. Everyone that came and visited me the hospital and at Mom and Dad's house was very important to me! Dad, Mom, Amy and Bobby, thank you for everything!

I just like to tell my story because it shows how important family is in my life. I can't wait to meet other relatives, hear family stories and keep in touch!

Pictures of Sherre Ann's family

These are my children: starting from the left, Jennifer Sheree Plasencio (my youngest), Mary Eloisa Rodriguez (my #2 child), John Charles Mendez (my only son & 3rd child), Lidia Rodriguez (my oldest child). No the two girls did not marry brothers, they married men with the same last name, no relationship to each other. Don't look at the date on the picture, it's wrong. This picture was taken Thanksgiving 2006.

almost forgot

opps..........almost forgot.
Thanks Amy for setting this Blog up!

Sherre Ann

Hi everyone.........This is Sherre Ann, daughter of Delores Damm, who's parents were Peter Damm Jr and Anna Servo Damm. Just checking out this new Blog and it looks like it will be GREAT!
I do hope everyone will contribute, especially since our Damm family has seem to be soooo far apart. The elders of our family have or are pasting on and it's up to us younger ones to continue. So if you have pictures, stories or know where there's a relative that we should know about, post it! Let us all learn about our family and were we come from and how we got here. I think it will be exciting!

Hi. My name is Amy. I am a Damm Relation.

I come from the John and Dorthy Damm line, Carol (Damm) Sherwood is my mom.
I live here in Selah with my Husband Steven (now a Damm relation by marriage) and my 7 kids. Nope, NOT a typo- 7 more Damm kids to add to the family tree!

These are my other sites with pictures http://myduckies.spaces.live.com

Damm Family Ties

It had been brought up that there should be a Damm Site where we can all catch up, and keep in contact. Since all the Damm relations are scattered every which direction, this can be a central location to share news and family history.

Hope to hear from you all!!
